History and Heritage

The Society of Friends of Gibraltar Heritage is a UK based organisation with members throughout the world. It exists to promote Gibraltar's historical heritage and to raise money for heritage projects.

Semi statutory body established in 1986 taking over the register, protection and restoration of listed ancient monuments in Gibraltar. Also has a role in the development and planning commission for assessing heritage implications for proposed developments. Organises trips, events and produces publications for members.
